Our Growing Girls!

I am kind of proud of myself.. I had to make a few phone calls to the friendly pediatrician's office to fill in a few blanks, but taking a cue from a friend's blog I updated ours with the girls' growing progress! Issac vetoed my idea to have statistics on the adults in the family as well, claiming that he is wearing his extra five pounds of winter weight, haha!

Miss Ingrid had her four month appointment today and is a titch bigger than Amelia was at this point, but her pediatrician says that the likely reason she appears 'older' to us because her gross motor skills and attention to things around her are on par with that of a six-month old. She's rolling and grasping and smiling and laughing the days away, working on sitting up!

Amelia has big news to report as well - after mom caught her attempting to extricate herself from her crib (head first, no less!) dad took the front of the crib off and created a 'toddler bed.' Amelia has taken to this quite well (knock on wood) and enjoys that she can get in and out to collect more books to sleep with. We're sure it is just a matter of time before she learns to open the door and sneak into her playroom, but for now everything is good.

The girls are also pretty pumped that their beloved Uncle Bill is staying with us while he relocates to the area. To Amelia, this means many more potential players in The Apple Game. Also, we joke that she says, "Hello Uncle Bill!" roughly 300 times per day. He walks out of the room and back in and gets another, "Oh, Hi Uncle Bill!"

  1. Love seeing the girls stats! They're adorable together and obviously each their own person too. So very cute.
