As this evening's forecast calls for freezing temperatures, the girls {and I} politely request the return of summery sunshine so they can play outside! Today we survived about four minutes on the deck before Amelia declared it, "Too vindy, mom. Too vindy."
In other news, Ingrid is officially crawling. For the past two months, she has waffled between army-crawling and 'actual' crawling but today we noticed that she has given up the 'scooting along on her stomach' version.

Six Whole Months Old!
Crawling and pulling up and eating green things, Ingrid is growing and changing every day! Her personality continues to be very pleasant and personable, and she is absolutely smitten with any attention her older sister throws her way.
Ingrid hit her 6 month milestone in style, compliments of her friend Brynn. This was stripey outfit was Brynn's dad's very favorite outfit and Ingrid was excited to snuggle into it for her afternoon outside! Thanks for sharing, Brynn!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
We can't remember a St. Patrick's Day in Wisconsin where we could go out without a jacket on, so when we saw that this year's forecast was calling for high seventies, we could not pass up on the opportunity to spend the day outside! Even better, we were able to support the Dane County Boys & Girls Club at their annual Shamrock Shuffle in Madison.
As much as I intended to run the 10K (ha!), we decided to walk as a family in the shorter race. Amelia thoroughly enjoyed checking out all of the green costumes and kept saying, "I want to see lots of people and lots of things!" We arrived early enough that Amelia could run off some energy and practice crossing the finish line all by herself.
A passerby had an extra green wig that she donated to the cause, so Ingrid pretended to be very Irish for the day.
Happy St. Patrick's Day to you, cheers to some green celebration and sunny warm weather!

Clifford the Big, Big, Big, Big Dog
For her birthday last December, Grandma Mary purchased Amelia tickets to "Clifford the Big Red Dog" at the Appleton Performing Arts Center. So fun!! We love gifts that create memories like this!
She was very excited to see Clifford the "Big, big, big, big dog" whom she has read about in many books. We weren't sure how she would do at a "sit-down" event such as this, but all reports came back positive (Translation: if she threw a tantrum, no one told me about it! A true example of the idiom "ignorance is bliss"!!)
